Sin City’s iconic party bar opened its new 9,000-square-foot location in The Grand Canal Shoppes in late January, bringing back the same let-loose attitude that made the original one of the most popular nightlife destinations on the Las Vegas Strip. With direct access from Las Vegas Boulevard, Rockhouse offers convenience for guests staying at nearby hotels as well as for those passing by.

Like the original, Rockhouse will offer drinking games in the daytime and DJs at night, with a sexy bar staff that keeps the party going all the time. Plus, with 83 flat-panel televisions lining every wall of the interior, there is not a bad view in the house to watch sporting events. The two-room venue will feature three bars, cocktail and high-top tables, and plenty of room for dancing. The new Rockhouse will also have something the original did not: a full menu of bar food.

This limited engagement exhibition is now on display in the Imagine Exhibitions Gallery in The Venetian Box Office 702.414.9000 This traveling exhibition showcases some of National Geographic's most-remembered and celebrated photographs from its 125-year history, such as Steve McCurry's unforgettable "Afghan Girl," Nick Nichols' iconic image of Jane Goodall and chimpanzee and Thomas Abercrombie's never-before-seen view of Mecca. In addition to seeing the photographs as they appeared in the magazine, you can learn the stories behind the photos and more about the photographers themselves. For some images, you will be able to see the "near frames" taken by the photographer: the sequence of images made in the field before and after the perfect shot. Additionally, documentary videos throughout the exhibition tell the stories behind these iconic photographs and the photographers who shot them. The new show, titled Smokey Robinson presents Human Nature: The Motown Show began on Saturday, January 19, 2013. Calling Las Vegas home since 2009, Human Nature came to Las Vegas as the #1 vocal group in Australia and quickly became one of the Las Vegas Strip’s favorite shows. Performing to sold-out audiences regularly, the multi-platinum selling band has brought the classic Motown sound full circle. Set in L.A.’s infamous Sunset Strip in 1987, ”Rock of Ages” tells the story of Drew, a boy from South Detroit and Sherrie, a small-town girl, both in L.A. to chase their dreams of making it big and falling in love. ”Rock of Ages” takes you back to the times of big bands with big egos playing big guitar solos and sporting even bigger hair! This hilarious, feel-good love story celebrates the great rock songs of the ‘80s including such sing-out-loud songs as "Every Rose Has Its Thorn," "I Wanna Know What Love Is," "Here I Go Again," "Don't Stop Believin" and more.

Country music superstars Tim McGraw and Faith Hill bring an all-new “Soul2Soul” to The Venetian® Las Vegas

Collectively, McGraw and Hill have sold 70 million albums, won eight Grammy Awards, 14 Country Music Association Awards, 14 American Music Awards, seven People’s Choice Awards and 26 Academy of Country Music Awards. They’ve been dominating the music charts since the early ‘90s and began performing together in 2000 in their record-breaking “Soul2Soul” tour, becoming that year’s top grossing and most successful U.S. tour. Their success continued in 2006 when “Soul2Soul II” returned to the road. It became the highest grossing country music tour of all time, the most attended of the year in any musical genre and remains the highest grossing multi-year North American tour in country music history.

Second Level -St. Mark's Square

Part of the charm of The Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian is the "Streetmosphere" created by an international roster of classically trained singers, actors, and musicians. Daily performances in St. Mark's Square add an unexpected element of entertainment to the shopping experience and embellish the center's unique and vibrant atmosphere. The living statues amaze guests with their immovable poses, while Artiste del Arte, a troupe of talented musicians, wander the center's cobbled streets and serenade shoppers beneath the evening sky. On any given day, there are approximately 30 small performances that unexpectedly delight and entertain shoppers.

THE ACT, GROUNDBREAKING PERFORMANCE-BASED NIGHTCLUB THEATER, OPENING OCTOBER 2012

The ACT, which will usher in a new variety of nightlife, is slated to open in Las Vegas inside The Shoppes at The Palazzo in October 2012. Created by New York City nightlife and theater impresario Simon Hammerstein, The ACT will offer a uniquely decadent experience, presenting over-the-top theatrical performances, nightly rituals and audience involvement in the shows.

"The ACT is a new variety of nightlife where the audience parties onstage, the shows explode into the club, and everyone gets caught in The ACT," says Hammerstein.

The 15,000-square-foot, multi-level space merges aesthetic elements ranging from an Italian opera house to European cathedrals, from New York City’s Grand Central Station Post Office to a turn-of-the-century speakeasy. Guests will have the opportunity to experience the action unfold onstage from numerous perspectives, including private balcony boxes, banquettes on the dance floor and a backstage seating area that allows guests to mingle with all the talent.

The ACT, managed by Variety Worldwide, is the latest venture by Hammerstein, a seasoned theatrical producer and artistic director with nearly two decades of experience and who has been recognized in publications including Vogue, Vanity Fair, The New York Times and New York Magazine. Hammerstein is also president of the widely popular variety theatre, The Box, with locations in New York City and London. The creativity that won The Box international acclaim for award-winning design, exclusive clientele, extraordinary service, innovative live theatrical productions, and attendance by more than a million people since 2007 will be channeled inside The ACT, making it the most exciting addition to the Las Vegas nightlife scene.
